We are looking to recruit a Café Manager who will be responsible for the successful operation of the Café which is situated in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The successful candidate would work closely with college staff employees to support the training of students in various roles within the café.

The Community Junction Café is a project ran by the staff and students of Newfriars College. The Community Junction café is open to the public and provides young people with additional needs the opportunity to develop valuable employability skills. This is an exciting opportunity to manage an inclusive café and be involved in this project.

Newfriars College is an 16-25 Specialist College with its main site in Stoke-on-Trent. We offer an exciting and creative curriculum for young people aged 16-25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. We are proud of the work we do helping our young people develop the preparation for adulthood skills they need when they leave college. This includes supporting our young people to develop employability skills and to support them into employability and jobs. Our café plays an important role in this work.

Actual Salary: £21,040 - £23,735

Working hours: 28 hours per week, all year round (Tuesday to Friday 8.00am – 1.45pm and Saturday 8.00am – 2.15pm)
