Post 16 Learners with a range of Special Educational Needs

Do you want to join our amazing staff team working in a post-16 college for young adults with SEND? Do you want to join a college which Ofsted have rated ‘Good’ with an Outstanding judgement for ‘behaviour and attitudes’, and an Outstanding judgement for ‘Personal Development? Are you passionate about working with young people to help prepare them for adulthood? Do you have experience of working with children and/or adults with special educational needs and disabilities? Do you want to be part of a supportive team of staff working together to provide an outstanding education for our young people?

We want to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistants to join our large and supportive Teaching Assistant team. As a member of our Teaching Assistant (TA) team, you will work closely with other TAs and teachers to support the education offer for young people with a range of SEND. We are particularly interested in someone who has experience of working with young adults with more complex needs, management of behaviour and 1-1 behaviour support.

You will be confident about working with young people with a range of SEND needs and have a sound knowledge of best practice in the area. You will be passionate and creative. You will work well in a team and have excellent communication skills. You will be enjoy working in a varied and dynamic environment based in college and supporting young people to access their community and work experience opportunities.

Actual Salary: £19,231 – £21,286

32.5 hours per week, Term time plus 5 inset days, working 39 weeks

Reduced weekly hours/days worked applications considered

Permanent and fixed term posts available - 1 role immediate start; additional roles 1 September 2024 start date - (additional roles with immediate start may be considered)
