Newfriars College is looking for a dedicated and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join
our team supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

students’ communication, independence, and future pathways.
About the Role
The postholder will:
• Assess and support students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
• Deliver tailored interventions in both 1:1 and group settings
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to embed communication strategies into learning
• Contribute to EHCP reviews, transition planning, and student progression
• Provide training, advice, and support to staff, families, and carers
• Support the safe implementation of eating and drinking guidelines
• Help shape and develop therapy provision across the college
You’ll also play a key role in ensuring communication support is fully integrated into the student
experience, helping every learner achieve their full potential.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
• Is a qualified and HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist
• Ideally has experience working with young people with SEND
• Is confident managing a caseload, including complex needs
• Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Is proactive, compassionate, and committed to inclusive practice

Salary: £32,072 – £39,041
Hours: Term time only Plus 5 inset days
