An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Andrew’s Academy for supporting outstanding outcomes for young people with additional needs.

We are in a position to recruit a number of Teaching Assistants who will support the teaching and learning within a class, the Senior Teaching Assistant will be a point of contact for the dedicated team of Teaching Assistants. Please note that we have a number of Fixed Term Contracts and Permanent Contracts available. 

St Andrew’s is a day/residential special school for pupils with severe learning difficulties and ASD aged 11 -19 years.

Our Special settings cater for children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs from children with profound medical needs and life limiting conditions, those with severe, moderate and sensory needs through to young people with social emotional and mental health needs that require support and understanding to help them to navigate their world.

All the pupils within our Special Schools have an individualised education and are educated in small classes and groups with enhanced support to ensure that all of their needs are met.
